My name is Keiran Jarvis — but the real question isn’t just who I am, it’s what makes me who I am.
I am a neurodivergent man who explores a sometimes difficult and noisy world through the quiet guidance of my camera lens. Since childhood, I’ve been fascinated by the world around me. Photography became my way of capturing fleeting moments in time—those little instants that might otherwise slip away—so I can return to them, relive them, and carry on the adventure in my mind.
The magic of photography, to me, is transformation. It allows us to take something intangible—an instant that can’t be held and is so easily forgotten—and turn it into something physical, something we can cherish for a lifetime.
I’ve found that street photography, in particular, is a form of exposure therapy for me. While I love meeting new people, communication can sometimes be a challenge. Yet, being present in those environments—surrounded by energy, movement, and life—gives me confidence. Each time I step onto the street with my camera, I push myself a little further, and through that process, I grow.
Photography, for me, is more than a craft. It’s a way of navigating the world, connecting with others, and discovering the beauty hidden in the everyday.
I’m also deeply drawn to landscape photography. In a world where so many of us are glued to our phones from the moment we wake until the moment we sleep, it’s easy to miss the beauty right in front of us. Through my landscapes, I want to remind people of what surrounds them—the quiet details, the vast horizons, and the natural wonders waiting to be noticed if we simply look up and look around.
In addition, I’ve begun exploring drone photography, using the freedom of flight to reveal the sheer scale and perspective of the world’s beauty. I’m excited by the possibilities this brings and by how it expands the ways I can tell stories through my work.
Though I have particular passions, I’m fond of all forms of photography. I actively explore new styles, experiment with different techniques, and take inspiration from many photographers whose work challenges and inspires me.
