Refractions: Neon Ghosts, is a photographic journey through the arcades of Great Yarmouth — spaces where time feels suspended between past and present, memory and illusion. Arcades are places of light, noise, and a gallery of stimulation— but through distortion, reflection, and abstraction, these images reveal something deeper: the ghosts of nostalgia, the surreal beauty of neon, and the chaotic poetry of play. Each photograph captures not just machines or signs, but the emotional residue left behind — flickers of childhood excitement, the hum of forgotten tokens, and the dreamlike haze of nights spent beneath glowing lights. The album Neon Ghosts is the first expression of this series, honoring the fleeting magic of seaside arcades before they fade, glitch, or transform into something else. It asks the viewer: When we look at these machines and lights, are we seeing the arcade — or the echoes of fun, chaos and emotion?
